About Programme

These are the integrated programs in Master of Law (LLM). A student admitted to LLM program pursues the courses of both Humanities and Law. Like nise, a student admitted to Master of Law (LLM) program pursues the courses of both commerce and Law.

Students of Master of Law (LLM) program study courses of Humanities like English, Political Science, History, Sociology, Economics, Psychology etc. along with courses of Law like Law of contract, Law of Contract, Criminal Law, Administrative Law, Tax Law IPR, Corporate Law, Labor Law, Family Law etc.

The University intends to groom highly competent legal professionals as there is a huge demand for such professionals. Recognizing that good communication and presentation skill is essential for success in the legal profession, additional courses have been incorporated in curricula of these programs to develop these skills in the students. The University has also set a Court Room in the campus to give our students an exposure to the legal practice.

The major difference between both the two programs is that the LLM offers subjects of Humanities along with the law subjects and, LLM offers subjects of Commerce along with the law subjects.

In LLM course, commerce subjects like Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Taxation are included along with the law subjects such as IPR, Environmental Law, Law of Torts, Company Law, Legal Writing, etc.

After completing LLM, one can pursue a career in corporate law firms, public sector undertakings, government organizations as well as start own law firms since he/ she has already studied the subjects related to business and commerce.

CLAT is an entrance exam conducted by National Law Universities in India. But it’s scores are accepted in almost all the colleges. No, it is not compulsory, as there are other law entrance exams as well like AILET and other state-level exams as well for admission into top law colleges in India.

You can become a lawyer, advocate, paralegal, legal counsellor, legal administrator, law officer, law associate, public prosecutor, judge, etc. If you wish to study further, you can do LLM (Master of Laws) and other professional specialized certificate and diploma courses.
